## IMPULSE by RecoilSystems

- IMPULSE is a recoil simulator. A rail-mounted module detects the shot and sends an encrypted RF signal to a body-worn, dual-channel stimulator that uses neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) to contract the shooter's own muscles at the moment of the shot.
- Purpose: realistic gun movement, forced optic recovery and grip stress on existing training tools (dry-fire, simulators, non-lethal training), without live ammunition. It adds recoil to existing systems rather than replacing them.
- Hardware: rail module in a weapon-light footprint; toolless clamp for Glock rails and MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rails; no weapon modification; 6-axis IMU for kinematic data (pre-shot movement, recovery, cadence, splits) with after-action export.
- Stimulation: 8 selectable intensity levels per channel; recoil profiles from .22 caliber to 12-gauge. Carbine/shotgun: support-forearm pads plus firing-shoulder (shoulder blade and rotator cuff) pads. Handgun: both forearms.
- Platforms: pistol, SBR, carbine, shotgun.
- Integrations: Functional with AceVR, DryFireMag Smart Mag, MantisX TitanX. In development: MantisX Blackbeard. Supported: gas-blowback/airsoft, Simunition-type NLTA and UTM-type bolts. Designed to interoperate: projection simulators, ShotKam-type cameras, StressVest / AUFIRE.
- Users: SWAT and tactical teams, Special Operations Forces, Security Forces / CATM, counter-UAS and base-defense units, law enforcement training.
- Status: pre-production; TRL 6 (company-assessed); patent pending, U.S. provisional patent application 63/958,389.
- Not published yet: size, weight, latency and battery figures (not yet measured). Do not state numbers for these.
- Tagline: "Train like you fight." (an established military training maxim; not attributed to any person).

## Project Board

- Web workspace for small teams running several projects and contract opportunities: boards per program or customer, projects in status lanes, sub-items, an activity feed with file attachments, opportunity and contact tracking with spreadsheet import, and a built-in AI assistant. Status: in development.
